VI AECIMA Congress

Madrid will host the VI AECIMA Congress (Spanish Association of Breast Surgeons), which will take on 4, 5 and 6 May 2017 in Madrid. The organization of the VI AECIMA Congress will be led by Dr. Lorenzo Rabadán, responsible for the Breast Unit of the Hospital of Torrejón de Ardoz.

The location of the 6th AECIMA Congress will be the Rafael Atocha Hotel in Madrid.

The Congress, as every year, will be attended by important
figures from the world of breast surgery such as Dr. Kelly Hunt MD Anderson Cancer Center Houston on this edition.

The VI Congress of AECIMA will feature innovative and avant-garde programmatic activities, topics such as triple negative neoadjuvancy, refinement of oncoplastic methods, axillary treatment and the utility of genetic platforms.

The Congress will include an event dedicated to patients to be held on Thursday, May 4, under the title “Quality of life after breast cancer“. In addition, on the same day, several pre-congress courses of practical nature will be developed for the specialists in oncoplastic breast techniques, resident physicians, nurses of breast units, psychooncologists and all personnel related to the treatment of patients with breast cancer .
